About GearB

GearB is a new, independent site that helps people work out how much backup power they need for a home outage or a camping trip.

How we work

We build free calculators from published appliance specs and standard efficiency assumptions. Estimates are not guarantees, so check the label on your own gear.

What we don’t do

We don’t test power stations ourselves. Product picks are based on published specs and customer reviews, and we say so wherever we show them.

How we earn
